Overview
Migrated an existing AI-assisted development environment from a third-party proxy configuration to the official Claude Code subscription workflow, creating a more secure, reliable, and maintainable development setup.
The Challenge
The development environment relied on an unofficial proxy for AI access, introducing unnecessary complexity, authentication overhead, and potential reliability concerns. The objective was to adopt the supported architecture while enabling seamless interaction with a production codebase.
Solution
- Migrated from a proxy-based AI configuration to the official Claude Code subscription.
- Configured the official Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration with Vercel.
- Connected Claude Code directly to the Vercel project for repository-aware development.
- Validated authentication, repository access, and end-to-end development workflows.
- Optimized the environment for AI-assisted coding, debugging, and project maintenance.

Outcome

Who's behind the work
I'm Iliyas Sayyed — a System Analyst and Team Lead with 15+ years in the IT services industry, based in Pune. My day-to-day is system and business analysis, BI reporting, SQL and Snowflake, and production support: keeping real systems running and helping teams hit their SLAs.
Over the last two years I've gone deep on AI — prompt engineering, generative AI, and AI agents — and I use it to build automations and AI-integrated tools that remove manual work. The other half of my brain writes: with a Mass Communication degree and Marathi, Hindi, and Urdu as living languages, I craft songs in Hindi, Hinglish, Urdu, and Marathi that sound like how people actually talk. Same craft, two languages.
